Overview

Ultimate responsibility for economic policy in Northern Ireland rests with the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment (DETI). This Department delegates much of its operational responsibility to government agencies under its ultimate control.

Invest Northern Ireland (INI) supports businesses from start-up to the largest companies in Northern Ireland, and encourages overseas companies to set up business here. Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB)

NITB is responsible for the government management of the NI tourism industry. The objective of NITB is to develop and present NI as a quality destination within the international market, to promote domestic tourism and to maximise the tourist industry's potential as a significant creator of wealth and jobs in NI.
