Petroleum Licensing
Who requires
a Petroleum Licence?
A licence is required for the storage
of more than 275 litres (60galls) of petroleum spirit or mixtures.
Persons wishing to store petroleum spirit should contact the Council
before commencing work as an assessment of the site would have to
be carried out.
How much will
a Petroleum Licence cost?
Fees are set by the Department of Environment
and the rates of fees payable are as detailed below. These fees
came into effect on 5 May 1998.

How to apply:
Application Forms should be completed
and returned to the Licensing Administration Officer together with
all relevant documents listed below:
1. Completed Fire Fighting Certificate
2. Electrical Certificate for Petrol Filling Station completed and
signed by one of the following:
(a) An approved Electrical Contractor on the Roll of NICEIC
(b) A member of the Electrical Contractors Association
(c) An approved member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers
(IEE)
(d) An approved Electrical Engineer with Northern Ireland Electricity
3. Correct fee for application for Licence.
