Disposal of abandoned vehicles

The practice of abandoning vehicles is a growing problem and is causing some concern.

Last year the Management Services Section responded to a total of 210 calls in relation to reported abandoned vehicles. From these calls, 45 vehicles were removed by the Council, at a cost of £5811.16.

Attempts are made to recharge the costs of collection to the owner of the vehicle.
