CIS Mini Soccer Funday with Tullyvallen FC

The start of spring sees everyone heading for the green fields of Newtownhamilton High School, Armagh for the CIS and Northern Bank Mini Soccer Funday.

The coaches and volunteers of Tullyvallen FC provided fun coaching sessions and competitions for children aged 6-15 from all over Newtownhamilton and Altnamackin area.

Malcolm Roberts, Grassroots Development Officer for Newry and Mourne, was there to oversee proceeding and also to pass on coaching tips to the staff that have all recently taken the IFA Level 1 Award. He commented,“ The volunteers have put in a tremendous effort to make this happen. I would like to thank those volunteers and also CIS and the Northern Bank who have funded this event.”

Over 80 children gave their vocal support in congratulating the coaches before tucking into a BBQ and socialising in the grounds of the school. A special thank you to Principle Mullins for the use of the school.
Malcolm Roberts went on to mention, “that in a time where facilities are at a premium in Newry and Mourne we are grateful that the school has been made available for this successful community event.”
