Soccer Centre

The
winter sessions of Newry Mini Soccer Centre at Newry High School
are coming to an end.
The indoor sessions
have been well attended and being indoors the centre opened its
doors to Mini Kickers who are aged from 4-6. A grateful parent Mrs
Loughran commented that the Mini Kickers session was “invaluable
as it promoted an all-round development of movement, balance and
basic skills”.Pictured
are some of the Mini Kickers who have enjoyed the indoor sessions.
Malcolm Roberts
Grassroots Development Officer for Newry and Mourne, who co-ordinates
the centre said “ To see children coming to the centre at
a young age is terrific and we hope to encourage those children
to continue their interest in sport by offering activities that
are enjoyable and inclusive as well as promoting skills development.
He went on to
say “ To have the benefit of an indoor facility through the
winter is great and I would like to give a big thank you on behalf
of all the children to Newry High Principle Mr McVeigh who has supported
the Grassroots scheme from the start.
