Kittybane LakeSouth Armagh

South Armagh boasts some of the best waters for game and coarse angling. There is something to suit all levels of angler be they novice or experienced. "You are guaranteed to be hooked after a day's fishing in tranquil surroundings."

Kiltybane Lake April - September Annually 3 times Brown & rainbow trout
Rod license required and day permits can be obtained from Mr. Phil Nolan (Tel: 028 30 868074) and at Cardinal O'Fiaich Centre (Cullyhanna). Bag limit 3 per day.
Parking on site for 50 cars.
Directions: From Crossmaglen, follow the Corran Road towards Cullyhanna. After 3 miles, take the Kiltybane Road to the lake.

Parking on site with picnic and toilet facilities.

Directions: From Crossmaglen, take Castleblaney Road, taking the first turn on left. The lough is on the right.

Directions: From Crossmaglen follow road to Newry, after Silverbridge take the second junction on the right.

Directions: Turn at Creggan, follow Glassdrummond Road and the lake is on the right.

Directions: From Silverbridge, follow the road to Newry. Take the first turn on right. The lake is immediately on your right.

Mullaghbane March - October 2-3 times Trout

Rod licence required and if not a member of a local club, day permit can be obtained from Mr. Pat McKenna at Mullaghbane Post Office. Bag limit 2 fish per day.
Parking at lay-by close to lake.

Directions: In Mullaghbane, turn right at Cranny Road and turn left at Lough Road.

Camlough Lake   Small to medium pike

This large disused reservoir is well stocked with pike, and fishing is free to licence holders.

Directions: From Newry, drive through Camlough and then take the Crossmaglen Road. You will pass the lake on your left. The road drives along the dam, giving easy access, but the lake is also used for water sports, so a walk to the far end can be well worth the effort.
